Pepsi one of the oldest beverage producing company aside Coca-Cola will be releasing their first ever smartphone with decent features on October 20 as revealed by a Chinese source. It wasn't a surprise when Google launched their new Android One and Infinix Hot 2 smartphone just few months ago, but with Pepsi (a soft drink company) announcing the unveiling of its smartphone very soon? It's kinda weird to me actually.
The PepsiCo brand currently named its smartphone Pepsi P1 and according to online sources like weibo.cn the upcoming Pepsi smartphone will be fully unveil next week Tuesday, October 20 alongside other surprises.
So How Will The Pepsi P1 Smartphone Look Like?
The Pepsi P1 as called will be coming with a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution display, 13 megapixels back camera, runs on 1.7GHz MediaTek processor, with 3000mAh battery, 2GB RAM paired with a 16GB internal storage, runs on android 5.1 lollipop OS.
What Will Be The Price of Pepsi P1?
According to sources online, the Pepsi smartphone will be priced at CNY 1,299 which is approximately $205 or between N39,000 to N42,000 in Nigerian currency.
Other official details of the Pepsi P1 smartphone will be released at the launched date. Currently am just wondering if Coca-cola might feel the challenge to come up with its own smartphone too either before this year runs out or next year. Let's keep our fingers crossed and see how the competition goes.
