In the time of our parents the word “virgin” was very sacred and sacrosanct in terms of finding a wife; a lady being a virgin instantly qualified her to be more of a wife material than ladies who weren’t virgins and would get her a lot of attention from men, hence multiple suitors.
Some men in our generation have a different mindset or cognitive approach towards virgins. They believe that they are a lot of work, they aren’t fun, they are too uptight and the most obvious reason they don’t have s*x.
A lot of breakups or relationship issues can be attributed to the girlfriend being a virgin or celibate because this puts a strain on the physiology of men who can not hold out on s*x like most women do.
A common scenario; “Kemi : Ladi, my friend thinks your fine, she likes you. She’s a virgin though.
Ladi: virgin ke? I don’t want. She’s long!!”
This is a very common statement with guys these days which leaves some ladies who are virgins wondering if their sexual status is a plus or minus? The honest truth is that a guy who is serious and wants a serious relationship wouldn’t be bothered about sexual status because he’ll get all the s*x he wants after marriage only guys who want flings and don’t want any emotional attachment run away from virgins.
Fellas, let’s not allow a lady’s sexual status dictate how we meet or relate with our potentials. Personality, attitude amongst other traits should serve our blueprint or wheel. Ladies if any guy can’t accept you for being a virgin, celibate etc then he’s clearly not the one.
You don’t need to conform to any pressures from guys, there’s always a guy out there who will wait for you and still appreciate you in waiting or not waiting.
