AT&T is bringing its 4G LTE network to Mexico

It’s been a long time coming, but AT&T has announced that it’s finally bringing its 4G LTE coverage to Mexico. By the end of 2015, AT&T plans to have its 4G LTE coverage in Mexico reach a total of 40 million people. The United States-based carrier recently purchased Iusacell and Nextel Mexico within the past year, and we’re just now getting to see the results of those acquisitions.

Both Iusacell and Nextel Mexico customers in the following cities will now be able to take advantage of AT&T’s 4G LTE coverage:
  • Atlacomulco, Estado de México
  • Cuernavaca, Morelos
  • Cuautla, Morelos
  • Pachuca, Hidalgo
  • Tepeji, Hidalgo
  • Tulancingo, Hidalgo
AT&T says it plans to bring its 4G LTE coverage to a total of 75 million people by the end of 2016, and a total of 100 million people in Mexico by the end of 2018. To learn more about the coverage rollout, follow the source links attached below.
