Quite a lot of couples have been faced with the problem of getting pregnant after few months of coming together as married couples.
Anxiety and so many other relatives creep in, worsening the situation. However, most couples forget basic ‘not-so-significant’ steps that make getting babies less stressful. However, here are 5 simple ways and methods to follow in order to get babies.
1. Have Sex As Often As You Can
There is a high probability for a woman that has sex every day to get pregnant compared to another who does not. According to findings, regular sexual activities can help in increasing the chances of a woman in getting pregnant as it triggers the immune system changes that boost the likelihood of getting pregnant. According to Tierney Lorenz, the lead researchers from the university’s Kinsey Institute:
“It’s a common recommendation that partners trying to have a baby should engage in regular intercourse to increase the woman’s changes of getting pregnant even during so-called ‘nonfertile’ periods although it’s unclear how this works. This research is the first to show that the sexual activity may cause the body to promote types of immunity that support conception.”
2. Build On Your Ovulation
This is about the next important thing to do when looking to get pregnant. You must figure out when you ovulate and know how your cycle works. It is only when a sperm meets an egg that your dream of becoming pregnant can come through. However, this egg only comes usually once a month, around day 14 in your cycle, hence, the need to know your ovulation period. You should however know that your most fertile period comes during your ovulation, therefore, build on it!
3. Know The Right Positions
You might not take it seriously but experts have overtime opined that different sex positions play a key role in getting pregnant. There has been assertions that the ‘missionary position’ (man-on-top position) is the most adequate for getting pregnant. This is assumed because the missionary position is a great gateway for deep penetration, helping the man’s sperm to be ejaculated as close to the cervix (the opening of the womb) as possible.
4. Your Weight Matters
While being overtly thin can slow down your fertility, being overweight too can affect your fertility, hence the need to maintain an ideal weight. As an overweight person, it means there is excess fat in the body, this fat in turn produces excess estrogen, which can interfere in ovulation.
5. Take Folic Acid
When trying to get pregnant, folic acid is a very important supplement for the woman. Experts opine that women who take folic acid before trying for a baby (ideally for at least three months before conceiving and for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy) have fewer chances of having a baby with conditions such as spina bifida.
