Before you learn how to set up a wireless internet network, there are many criteria you need to understand about wireless network or WiFi as it is called. Many Companies and Business Organizations are leaping to wireless networks in their office, both for financial gain and comfort-ability of their employees when doing business for the company. What is a Wireless Network?
Wireless or WiFi network is a technology that connects two or more computers to a particular network using radio frequency with no network cable connection. Just as the name implies wireless, it means connections are not wired. Have you ever wondered why your mobile phone connects to another mobile phone via Bluetooth without any connecting cables? That is wireless connection.

Wireless network transmit data from one point to another but the technology requires that all connected devices must be within the wireless network range. You should read this post: What to do when searching for the best wireless network providers.

We have three distinct types of wireless network which are listed below.

1. Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN):
This is a wireless networks that uses radio waves. The main network usually uses cable connections, with one or more wireless access points connecting the wireless users to the wired network. The range of a WLAN can be anywhere from a single room to an entire campus.

2. Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN):
This is a short-range network that uses Bluetooth technology. They are commonly used to interconnect compatible devices near a central location, such as a desk. A WPAN has a typical range of about 30 feet.

3. Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN):
This network is created via the use of mobile phone signals typically provided and maintained by specific mobile phone service providers like MTN Nigeria,Globacom Nigeria etc. WWANs can provide a way to stay connected even when away from other forms of network access. Note that additional charges may apply when you use WWAN in some locations.

So How do I get started?
To get started on a wireless internet network, you only need a wireless device from your service provider. You can get the MTN MiFi portable device that gives you access to connect up to 5 PCs together, or if you need a wider range wireless network, then go for a bigger wireless device like the Glo Router. The Glo Router wireless device gives you access to connect more PCs than the MTN MiFi device. Now Why you need a Wireless Internet Service.
Do I really need to say this? We all know that there is comfort in doing anything in our own freedom. When you are connected on a wireless network, you feel comfortable at home, in your office or in your bedroom. Without a cable connection for your wireless network, you can roam freely from your sitting room to your bedroom, from your office to a nearby conference room for a meeting.

Connecting to a wireless network enables you to turn down times between meetings or while in transit into productive time. For example, you may be attending a conference and just found out that one of the sessions you were planning on attending has been cancelled. Rather than waste the next hour, you can check email, start blogging, or even do some chatting.

Using a wireless network service can also provide some easy collaborations. With your wireless mobile PCs, you can easily share files and information with other PCs. For example, you can collaborate on a presentation with colleagues during a flight delay in an airport lounge, or you can share the syllabus of a course with attendees so that they can take more digitally during the class. Working wireless is the best way to make ease with your Computer and tech life.
