Excel Tutorial Lesson 22 | Creating A Chart Sheet In a Worksheet

Our previous Excel Tutorial Lesson 21, we learn about how to create an embedded chart that appears on the same sheet with the source data in excel. Today's lesson, we shall learn how to create a chart sheet that appears on a separate worksheet from the source data.

A chart sheet is created on a separate sheet in the same workbook with your source data. Chart sheets do make your charts stand out, especially when working with complicated spreadsheets. To create a chart sheet, you can simply move your embedded chart to the next sheet in your current workbook.

How To Move an Embedded Chart to a Chart Sheet

=> First of all, create an embedded chart,

=> Then select the chart to be moved to a new worksheet,

Choose Chart => Location from the menu bar.

In the Chart Location dialog box, select the As a new sheet radio button. (When you choose the As object in radio button, it will add the chart as an embedded object on the worksheet.)

Then click the OK button.

The chart will now display on the next worksheet in the same Workbook.

You can also use the Chart Location dialog box to rename the Chart Sheet.
