Have you ever been wondering how you can possibly create your own how-to do video tutorials? capturing all your computer screen movement in a video format, in other to teach your student in class? for these functions, you will definitely need a screen capture program which will do all the coverage while you perform your actions and at the end of it all, you will save your video and replay it to watch what you covered. in this article, i will show you how i did my video screen capture with this free and easy software called Camstudio.
Although there are commercial programs out there that perform similar functions but i think Camstudio matches almost if not all their features. It is a freeware screen capture program and very easy to use.
How to use Camstudio
1. First of all, find and Download the Camstudio20.exe program via Google search engine.
2.Unzip and install it on your Computer system.
3. Run or Start the program by double clicking on the icon and go to the "file" menu, to start a new video recording coverage, you must have to set the region where you want to make the coverage on your desktop.
4. To set a Region, Click Region from the tab and tick Region or fixed region or full region from the drop down menu.
5. Then Click file > Record and then start doing your work while Camstudio takes the coverage. at the end of your work, select Stop Via the File tab and save your work. you can also pause and resume coverage. play it back to watch what you have covered.
Tips:
Use short cut keys for easy and effective video coverage through the Option tab, select Keyboard shortcut.
You can also set it to record background sound from the speakers or via microphone, or no sound at all through the option tab.
