Google's Low Price Android One Infinix Hot 2 Smartphone Now In Nigeria

Google launches lollipop AndroidOne with Infinix Hot 2-X510 in Nigeria few days. The internet giant company now smartphone manufacturers in partnership with Tech manufacturer Infinix, South African Telecommunication Network MTN and online retailers Jumia launches the Android One program starting with the Infinix HOT 2 in Nigeria.

The Infinix HOT 2-X510 smartphone, which is the first device to run on Android One in Africa, comes with a 5-inch 720p touchscreen, and 8MP rear camera with LED flash.
A 2 MP selfie snapper, a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 16GB of storage, dual SIM support, an FM radio and a 2,200 mAh battery.

The Infinix Hot 2 smartphone offers a high quality experience and runs on the latest version of Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is also guaranteed to get an update on the new Android Marshmallow when release at some point in future.The update will offer Google’s new material design, improved battery life, enhanced security features, and smarter notifications.

The Infinix HOT 2 smartphone comes in two variants; the standard version, which will be available in black, white, blue and red, and the premium version which will be available in gold.

The Infinix Hot 2 is available in Nigeria via online retailer Jumia and at select retail outlets at a recommended retail price of N17,500 for the one with 1GB of RAM or N19,500 for the one with 2GB of RAM.

Through Google Play, Android One phone users have access to over one million apps that allow them to message friends, make video calls, socialize, check news and weather, and play games. Google apps such as Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Search, and Google Translate will come pre-loaded on the phones.

Google also announced that in coming weeks much of YouTube will be available offline in Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya and Morocco, meaning that people can store videos in the YouTube app when they are on WiFi and watch them later when they not online — a great benefit for times with a slow connection or re-watching videos without using up a data plan.

MTN is offering a promotion to reduce data costs for those who buy the Infinix Hot 2 Android One phone.  With an MTN SIM card, users of the Infinix Hot 2 phone will get 1GB high speed data at N500 for a 12 months period, and the latest Android platform updates for free.
